S1-1: GENERAL DESIGN AND DRAFTING TRACK
Product: AutoCAD® 2010
Course Title: It’s All Relative – Using Constraints to Define Relationships
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Instructor: Kate Morrical
Title: AutoCAD LT Technical Marketing Manager
Company: Autodesk
Description: When you create and edit objects in an AutoCAD drawing, they’re usually related to something else in the drawing. For example, two lines might be parallel, two circles might be concentric or two rectangles might be 6” apart. Parametric constraints help you make those relationships persistent, so objects always know where they are relative to other geometry. This class will introduce you to the power of parametric constraints in AutoCAD 2010. We will cover creating geometric relationships between objects, defining dimensional relationships, and using formulas to drive the value of related parameters. We’ll even show examples from a variety of industries, so you can see how you can put parametrics to work for you.

S4-1: GENERAL DESIGN AND DRAFTING TRACK
Product: AutoCAD® 2010
Course Title: The Ins and Outs of Output
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Instructor: Kate Morrical
Title: AutoCAD LT Technical Marketing Manager
Company: Autodesk
Description: Whether your AutoCAD drawings are complicated or simple, they usually can’t stay in DWG format forever. At some point in your design process, you usually need to send them to somebody else, maybe as a PDF or DWF, or even hard copies. This class will take you through the plotting process from beginning to end – setting up a printer, managing the appearance of the finished product, and choosing an output format. We’ll show you how to save time with page setups and batch plotting, and explore new options for exporting drawings and creating plot stamps.
